The 19-year-old, signed by the Diavolo in 2012 from Caen, will move to the struggling Ligue 1 outfit in January on a loan deal.

“I'm very happy about joining Montpellier,” the striker commented. “I also had some offers from Marseille and Lyon, but I want to help Montpellier.”

Niang has scored just one goal in 33 appearances for the Italian outfit.

“I don't have any regrets about joining the Rossoneri,” he added. “My ambition is to return to Milan as an even better player.”
