Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski will sign a new contract until 2023 in the coming days, according to reports.

The Polish international has enjoyed a fine season in the Partenopei midfield, contributing seven goals and three assists in 46 appearances in all competitions.

His form has reportedly attracted suitors from around Europe, with Liverpool and Arsenal thought to be interested in securing his services.

However, Corriere del Mezzogiorno claims that Zielinski is ready to end speculation over his future by committing his future to the San Paolo club.

However, Corriere del Mezzogiorno claims that Zielinski is ready to end speculation over his future by committing his future to the San Paolo club.

The Italian daily reports the 24-year-old will sign a new five-year deal with Napoli by Wednesday, on wages of €2.2m a season as well as bonuses.

Significantly, the new terms will also remove the €63m release clause in Zielinski’s current contract.

According to the Corriere, talks between Napoli and the player’s representatives have progressed well, with the Azzurri keen to tie the Zielinski down before he departs for the World Cup.
