The Belgium international was finally signed on a permanent basis after a lengthy negotiation process with Cagliari.

Eager to ensure they won’t lose him in future, the Giallorossi have given him an improved contract.

It’s a five-year deal said to be worth €3.5m per season and will now expire in June 2020.

His previous contract had been due to run until June 2018.
