According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a Lazio Primavera team player who is training with the first team, tested positive for COVID.

The entire squad underwent swab tests ahead of today’s friendly against a local team at Auronzo di Cadore, where the Biancocelesti began their pre-season last week.

According to the report, a Primavera team player training with the senior squad tested positive for COVID. Lazio haven’t confirmed the report yet.

Last season, the Aquile had to deal with several cases within their team, causing controversy.

An investigation was launched when it emerged positive or, at best inconclusive tests were not passed on to the ASL (local health authority), so players were allowed to take part in games, violating the COVID health protocol agreed by Serie A clubs.

For this reason, President Claudio Lotito was banned for seven months, but Lazio did not face points deduction.
