Granit Xhaka is so keen to move to Roma, he reportedly decided to give up on his Arsenal bonuses to join José Mourinho in the Capital.

The Special One has made Xhaka is transfer priority this summer and the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement over the player’s move to Rome.

The Serie A giants have offered Arsenal €15m plus add-ons to secure the services of the 28-year-old who moved to the Emirates Stadium in a €45m deal from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Arsenal captain has already agreed personal terms with the Giallorossi.

He will sign a four-year, €2.5m-a-year deal and has already informed the Gunners that he wants to move to Rome.

The Switzerland international has done even more, telling his club that he will give up on his bonuses from the 2020-21 campaign to make the deal between the two clubs easier.

Xhaka’s Arsenal contract expires in June 2023. He has 13 goals and 20 assists in 220 appearances with the Gunners.
