Former Milan defender Alessandro Nesta admits that he'd like to try his hand at coaching, and says teams must ‘defend with 11 players’.

The legendary Rossonero was present at Veronello and spoke out to the official Chievo channel.

“I want to try coaching a team,” he said, as relayed by Tuttomercatoweb. “It's necessary to pass by here to get the license, so we'll see.”

Nesta was asked about the necessary elements to form a great defence.

“Everybody has to defend, not just the players at the back. All must take part in that phase of play.

“Great results are attained when 11 players defend together and 11 players attack together.”

Finally, the 38-year-old spoke about some of his former teammates, in particular Alberto Paloschi.

“Paloschi must score more goals. I remember his debut with Milan, when he scored immediately at Siena.

“He must do more, a player like him can reach 15 goals in a season.”
