The former Schalke 04 man organized a party at his property on Wednesday night, but a neighbour called the Police as private parties are forbidden in Italy under the current COVID rules.

His teammates Arthur and Paulo Dybala were among the attendees and all of them will be punished by the club.

“I don’t think a famous footballer is above the law. I went out at 22.30 to walk the dog, and I saw a queue of cars inside the gates [of McKennie’s property],” the American international’s neighours told Il Corriere della Sera.

“There was a group of people. They were not wearing masks. There were many Mercedes, Jeeps and several taxies with young girls arrived.

“Since dinners with friends are not permitted, and the curfew was already in place, I decided to call the Police.”

According to reports, there were about ten people inside the property, but McKennie’s neighbours saw more party attendess.

“I think there were many more people. Maybe someone managed to leave.

“I have nothing against McKennie. He is a calm guy. He seems a good professional, he stays home, or he goes to train.

“I support Juventus, that’s why I am sorry, but maybe they should attend fewer parties and focus more on the pitch.”
