Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved confirms the decision to release Paulo Dybala was ‘shared on all levels’ within the club, he appreciates the new tactical switch and realises the Inter clash is ‘decisive for both teams.’

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.

“I think we’ve reached a stage of the season where this match is decisive for both teams. It’s for the Scudetto for Inter, and for us for third place,” Nedved told DAZN.

As there are reports Dybala could join Inter as a free agent at the end of the season, will this be the final Derby d’Italia for La Joya, or will he play it next term in a Nerazzurri jersey?

“I don’t know, I have never considered that. I would avoid that. We are happy with the way Paulo is behaving, as a real professional, he did well in training this week, is growing physically and I think he will put in a strong performance.”

The club told Dybala that even with a pay cut compared to the previous agreed salary, they still would not offer him a new contract, so he’ll be released on June 30.

What plans do Juventus have in motion to rebuild the forward line that would see them simply let Dybala go?

“We shared the decision on all levels about Dybala. Nobody is doubting him as a player, he has always been important.

“We’ve got someone out injured, Federico Chiesa, and will certainly think together with the coach how to build the forward line in future. There are some pretty clear ideas.”

Max Allegri has changed tactics this evening to 4-2-3-1, allowing Dusan Vlahovic to start with support from Juan Cuadrado, Dybala and Alvaro Morata.

“I believe when there are lots of forwards on the pitch and they help each other out, helping the defence too, then a team becomes really strong. When we are strong defensively, we can attack better too.”
