It’s reported Roma want Matija Nastasic plus €30m cash to hand Mehdi Benatia over to Manchester City.
It has been known for some time that the Citizens are eager to snap up the Moroccan international centre-back.
However, the Daily Mirror claimed a deal had been struck for €37m (£29.4m) and Sky Sport Italia insist that is not enough for Roma.
Instead, they want ex-Fiorentina defender Nastasic to be included in the deal along with €30m cash (£23.9m) which would bring Benatia’s total value to €45m – approximately £35.8m.
It is also reported that 21-year-old Nastasic’s agent was spotted at Roma’s Trigoria training ground over the last few days.
The Giallorossi would make a huge profit on 27-year-old Benatia, who they only signed from Udinese a year ago for €13.5m (£10.7m).
