Matija Nastasic is happy to be back at Fiorentina and is ready to bring his experience to help La Viola this season.
The 28-year-old has returned to the Stadio Artemio Franchi after nine years, completing a permanent €2m move from Schalke 04.
“I am ready to help the team. There aren’t just 11 players, we all need to help. We know what Fiorentina means for the city and the fans,” the defender said during his unveiling press conference.
“The other defenders here are young, but experienced. Age doesn’t matter in football. Of course, I can help with my experience.
“Since day 1 I found a great group of players, friends on and off the pitch. I spoke to Milenkovic before I arrived of course, and know Fiorentina since my first experience.
“I spoke to the other Serbian players, and I never felt they want to leave Fiorentina. They are happy here. This is important for this team.”
