Napoli would make an offer to Fiorentina for Stevan Jovetic if Ezequiel Lavezzi left, says President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The Argentine can leave the Stadio San Paolo if a club meets the €31m rescission clause inserted into his contract.

Although De Laurentiis is hoping that the Manchester City target will remain, he's already got a Plan B in mind.

"It's in the hands of Lavezzi's agent," the Azzurri chief noted. "We'll now see how good his agent is and I hope that he gives him the right advice.

"I can't do anything because of the clause in his contract, I just hope that he makes the right decisions.

"Who would we want to replace him if he does go? Perhaps Jovetic."

The latter is a rising star of the European game, but there are doubts over his fitness after he missed all of last season because of a knee injury.

Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri, however, is confident that he won't be losing any of his trident attack this summer.

"Edinson Cavani, Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik will all stay as they want to," the former Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”22″>Sampdoria tactician noted.

"Everyone knows that it is important for a Coach to have good players at his disposal. I'd keep everyone, but the club has needs."

While Lavezzi has been paired with a move to England, Hamsik has seen his name associated with Milan for most of the summer.
