Napoli are keen to reward Edinson Cavani for his form this season by touching up his contract with the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to offer the Uruguay international a one-year extension on his current deal with a buy-out clause worth €35m.

Napoli hope to have an agreement by the end of January in recognition of the player doubling in value.
