Napoli and Manolo Gabbiadini are reportedly only a signature away from agreeing on a contract for the Sampdoria forward.

Gabbiadini is expected to move to the Partenopei in January, with a reported fee of €11m plus €2m in bonuses agreed between the club, Sampdoria and Juventus who co-own the player with Samp.

Representatives from the Neapolitan club met with Gabbiadini’s agent last week, but no deal was agreed upon. However, according to Calciomercato the two parties are now in a agreement, with only a signature being required.

The website states that the player’s agent Silvio Pagliari asked for wages of €1.7m for his client at the meeting in Rome, with Napoli only willing to offer €1.1m. That was deemed too low by Pagliari, but the meeting ended on good terms.

Now the site believes that Napoli have upped their offer to between €1.4m and €1.5m for a five year deal, which – with bonuses – will reportedly be enough to seal the deal.

Calciomercato states that nothing will be signed until the winter break, with Napoli wary of putting pen-to-paper only for Gabbiadini to pick up an injury.

Barring any such injury though, the website believes the deal is all but complete and will be officially confirmed on January 5.
