Edinson Cavani believes last season’s Napoli was ‘the strongest’, but that this year’s version ‘has everything to do even better’.
Cavani yesterday was awarded best left-sided forward at the Gran Gala del Calcio awards, for his efforts with the Vesuviani during the 2012-13 season, which also saw him finish Capocannoniere.
“I am fine, sincerely Naples and Paris are two different realities that have so many beautiful things,” Cavani commented via video link yesterday evening.
“Football is this, it takes you everywhere and you always have to give your best and give everything, which I have aimed for.
“I try to find comfort, but certainly I miss Napoli, just as I miss my country. What interests me now is to reach important targets with PSG.
“It is nice to receive this award, thank you to my teammates at Napoli, to the city and to everyone who helped me to win.
“Napoli has a great advantage, they have a crowd that pushes you to give more than 100 per cent. According to me, that was our strongest Napoli, but this one has everything to do even better.”
