Former Napoli player Roberto Bordin believes the Partenopei have improved but still lack one key player.

The Azzurri lost star man Gonzalo Higuain to Serie A rivals Juventus over the summer, with 51-year-old Bordin believing the forward’s shadow is still evident at San Paolo.

“Higuain’s shadow is still cumbersome,” the current Triestina boss stated. “The Argentine made the difference at Napoli.

“In my opinion the team is stronger this year, there is one big player missing, but there are others who have been signed who are ready to do well.

“The results will increase their morale and will give confidence. [Maurizio] Sarri is the first to believe, he is creating a solid group.”
