The Partenopei are keen to complete their transfer campaign quickly, so that Coach Maurizio Sarri may start working on a full squad from the first day of his ritiro.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they are trying to find a deal as quickly as possible for Herrera. Porto's request of €20m, which is the price of the player's buy-out clause, may be smoothed down to €15m, but it won't be easy to do that in a short bracket of time.

Furthermore, negotiations continue for Zielinski, who is owned by the Zebrette but currently on loan at Empoli. Napoli are offering one between Mirko Valdifiori, Juan Zuniga and Christian Maggio in exchange for the midfielder, though they may extend the deal and try to sign Silvan Widmer.

Finally, negotiations are ongoing for Serie B's star Gianluca Lapadula. The Pescara striker would be the perfect replacement should Manolo Gabbiadini depart, but he is sought after by the likes of Lazio and Juventus and he won't be an easy target.
