It was mathematically confirmed yesterday that Juventus have won the Scudetto, with Napoli finishing second.

The squad had agreed to stay together this year to try and take the title, and it’s now been suggested in some quarters that a cycle has ended.

“All the players are declaring that next year they’ll try to win the title with the Azzurri,” Martin Petras, one of Hamsik’s agents, told Radio Crc.

“I hope they keep their word. Napoli started a cycle three years ago, all that’s missing is the last step and it’s important to stay compact.

“Then if 10 players leave I don’t know what Marek will do, but I hope Napoli stay compact. I think in a competitive squad you need at least 18 players to play.

“Hamsik? We talk a lot, but Marek’s reality has always been Napoli. This isn’t the first year Hamsik has received offers, but he’s always said no to everyone and this year he’ll have a choice to make again.

“For 11 years he’s always chosen Napoli and I imagine the choice will be the same this year. In the past Juve wanted Marek, he could have gone where he’d win but he never had any doubts.”

The future of Coach Maurizio Sarri is still unclear…

“If Sarri goes away it's not like starting from scratch, but it's difficult to win in the first year. The situation is not clear to us, nor Sarri nor [President Aurelio] De Laurentiis have given a clear signal about the future.”
