The Partenopei are working on their midfield this summer and have two targets who could arrive over the next few days.

According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations are intensifying with Villarreal for De Guzman, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Swansea City.

They are hoping to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for €7m.

Of course, the primary target is Belgium international Fellaini, who would arrive on a paid loan with an option to make the move permanent.

Manchester United took time to consider the proposal and it’s reported the deadline for a response is over the weekend.

Sky Sport Italia also claim Fellaini has told Manchester United he wants to make the move to Napoli, which will help talks go more smoothly.

The Serie A side has already sold Valon Behrami, while Blerim Dzemaili and Walter Gargano are also on the market.

A potential third option is Sampdoria youngster Pedro Obiang.
