Former Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Napoli offered “Jorginho plus a lot of money” for Paulo Dybala, but Juventus got there first.

The Argentinian forward joined the Bianconeri for around €40m in the summer of 2015, but he could have ended up at the San Paolo instead.

“Napoli also asked me about Dybala, and they wanted to give me Jorginho plus a lot of money – it was around €30m,” Zamparini revealed on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“At Juventus it's hard for a player to become an idol.”
