Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli could not be clearer when asked about Newcastle United interest in Kvicha Kvaratskhelia. ‘There is absolutely no chance of us letting him leave, regardless of how much the offer is.’

The Georgia international has been a sensation since arriving over the summer from Dinamo Batumi at a cost of €10m.

The versatile 21-year-old wide forward has contributed eight goals and 10 assists in 17 competitive games between Serie A and the Champions League.

His contract runs to June 2027 and has no release clause, with Napoli already said to be working on a new and improved deal to lock him down even further.

So when Napoli director of sport Giuntoli was asked today by SportExpress about the reports of Newcastle United offering €50m in the January transfer window, the response was adamant.

“There is absolutely no chance of us letting him leave, regardless of how much the offer is.”

Newcastle United are hardly the only club interested should Kvaratskhelia ever become available, as Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and more have all been impressed by the striker.

Napoli later released a statement insisting Giuntoli did not give any official interview with SportExpress.
