Piotr Zielinski believes Napoli’s problems stem from not being “ruthless” enough in front of goal ahead of Friday’s showdown with Inter.

Napoli have not scored more than two goals in a match since September 28, when they beat Benfica 4-2 in the Champions League, with Arkadiusz Milik’s serious knee injury leaving the misfiring Manolo Gabbiadini as the Partenopei’s only out-and-out striker until January.

Piotr Zielinski believes Napoli’s problems stem from not being “ruthless” enough in front of goal ahead of Friday’s showdown with Inter.

“The truth is that we must be more ruthless in front of goal and take more shots inside, but I think we can do that tonight,” the midfielder told Premium Sport.

“Wednesday’s match will also be difficult as we’ll be facing another great team, but for now we’re thinking about the game tonight and then the one against Benfica.

“Is tonight’s game that important? Certainly, all teams [in Serie A] have very good players and a lot of quality in attack. We want to win this game.”
