Napoli are leaning more towards Tottenham midfielder Sandro than Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva.

Rafa Benitez has shown an interest in both Premier League players, as Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini has fallen rapidly down the wish-list.

According to the Daily Star, Napoli are prepared to pay £10m (€12m) for 25-year-old Spurs man Sandro.

A four-year contract is on the table for the Brazilian and he’d relish a move to Serie A.

At the same time, Il Roma paper in Italy claims Lucas Leiva told Benitez he is desperate to join Napoli, but the club is not convinced.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reported to be unsure of Lucas Leiva’s long-term fitness and would only sign him on loan with an option to buy.
