“Congratulations to Napoli, but it is not true that we have been annihilated,” Sabatini has told reporters.

“Until their first goal we had created a lot too. In the second half, the game was difficult.

“We congratulate them, but remember that if Napoli is great then so is Roma, seeing as we are ahead in the League by four points.

“I will not say that Roma have been the victims of Napoli. The game I saw was not controlled by Benitez’s team. Here we are angry for having not reached a second final at the Stadio Olimpico.

“Do we miss someone like Gonzalo Higuain at Roma? We have Mattia Destro and we know who he is and what he can do in the future.

“What if Napoli overtake us in the League? That will not happen.”
