Emanuele Giaccherini and Ivan Strinic have been dropped for Napoli’s Champions League curtain-raiser against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.
The pair were not used in Napoli’s 3-0 win at Palermo in Serie A on Sunday, and they will join the unregistered Lorenzo Tonelli and similarly-ignored Roberto Insigne on the sidelines when the Partenopei make their Group B bow.
Napoli’s only other absentee remains Vlad Chiriches, who is not expected back until the end of the month as he continues to nurse a knee injury.
