Napoli have reportedly agreed to pay €10m for a one-season James Rodriguez loan, but Real Madrid want €40m option to buy rather than €30m.

According to Radio CRC, the two clubs are in advanced negotiations and there is real progress being made.

It’s suggested they agree a one-season loan will be worth €10m, but there are still discrepancies over the option to buy.

The proposal from the Partenopei is an extra €30m, whereas Real Madrid hope to get another €40m out of the deal.

He just spent two years on loan at Bayern Munich at a cost of €13m, but the Germans will not take up their option to buy for another €40m.

The Colombia international creative midfielder turns 28 next month and this season contributed seven goals and six assists in Munich.

He was originally purchased from Monaco for €75m in the summer of 2014, but struggled to deliver consistently. and has also caught the eye of Juventus

Radio CRC also claim that Napoli will try to get some discounts on other Real Madrid players who have been placed on the market.
