Napoli are prepared to pay Inter’s €60m asking price and could even include Lorenzo Insigne in a swap deal for Mauro Icardi, as he’s tempted to turn on Juventus.

The striker’s time at San Siro is over and he is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans after the chaos that ensued when he was stripped of the captaincy in February.

Icardi was offered to Manchester United as part of a Romelu Lukaku exchange, which would’ve resolved two problems in one for Inter, but the Old Trafford side refused.

Now multiple sources are confident Napoli will pay up the €60m asking price for the Argentina international, with a salary that even surpasses the one proposed by Juve.

There is even the possibility, according to the Corriere dello Sport, that Insigne could be used as part of an exchange deal for Inter.

All this is starting to make Icardi reconsider his position, as so far he has been holding out only for Juventus.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, President Aurelio De Laurentiis is not a big fan of Icardi, but he trusts Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s assurances this is the player who can take Napoli up a level.

That is because over the last couple of seasons, particularly under Ancelotti, the Partenopei created an immense number of scoring opportunities and lacked a clinical hitman to put them away.

De Laurentiis is also fired up by Maurizio Sarri’s arrival on the Juve bench and believes Napoli can finally end their Scudetto drought.

This also means purchasing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, as currently the negotiations stand at a loan with option to buy for €42m.
