Napoli Vice-President Edoardo De Laurentiis has backed the club’s move for David Lopez with a reminder for fans.
The club have come under scrutiny since their early Champions League elimination for a perceived poor summer transfer campaign.
However, the club’s Vice-President has played this down, in presenting the final signing of the market, David Lopez from Espanyol.
“We entrusted ourselves to [Rafa] Benitez and [sporting director Riccardo] Bigon,” De Laurentiis has told reporters today.
“In studying the market they have wanted to bring in a bit of youth to the squad.
“He is a great player, a good guy, has good quality and I think you will see this. I am sure he will do fine and become a great regular in the team.
“For us, the scepticism of the fans can be there or not, because in the end of every season we have always delivered the results.”
