Juve had been linked with another attempt to try and pick up the Portugal international this January, on from interest in the summer and his continued limited playing chances at Old Trafford.

However, it may prove that any interest will have to be offset until the summer, as Manchester United’s manager has listed the player as having suffered a ‘serious hamstring injury’.

“Nani has got a hamstring injury which is probably going to keep him out for quite a while,” Moyes has told the Red Devils’ official website this week.

“It’s a serious hamstring injury that he picked up in training.”
