“I had a positive experience at Cagliari and found a group of players who really welcomed me,” Nainggolan told Roma TV.
The Belgium international wore the Cagliari jersey from January 2010 to January 2014.
“They helped me to grow up and now I am here thanks to Cagliari. I expect to see a renovated squad with many young players who want to make their mark.
“Zdenek Zeman knows Roma well, so we will have to prepare very carefully.”
Nainggolan is still very attached to Cagliari, as his wife is from Sardinia, he returns often and wears shinpads with the Cagliari symbol.
