Radja Nainggolan sets Roma a minimum target of qualification from their Champions League group – ‘then we’ll see…’

The Giallorossi were eliminated at the group stage last season, following a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City, and the Belgian midfielder wants improvement this term after an opening draw with holders Barcelona.

“It was a dream come true, we couldn’t have started better,” Nainggolan exclaimed in an interview with Roma TV.

“It was a dream come true, we couldn’t have started better,” Nainggolan exclaimed in an interview with Roma TV.

“Our first experience wasn’t that bad, but hopefully we’ll do better this year. We have a manageable group, we want to progress and then we’ll see.”

Nainggolan also urged fans to get behind the team, amid talk of further protests from the Curva Sud over new segregation.

“The fans are important, they make us feel at home. I hope they’ll stick by us, even in difficult times. We hope to win something, they’re expecting a lot and hopefully this year we can do it.”
