The 29-year-old’s current deal is set to expire in June and he has been linked with a number of clubs for a free transfer.

However, FC Inter News has reported today that the Japan international will sign a three-year renewal with the San Siro club during the first two weeks of April.

The outlet writes that there has been no problem between the two parties in reaching an agreement and that Nagatomo hasn’t considered other offers.

That is despite speculation that Man United, Leverkusen and other Bundesliga clubs are interested in signing the full-back.

The report says there don’t seem to be any obstacles to an extension being signed and that the new contract can be discussed and formalised once agent Roberto Tukuda arrives in Italy in the coming weeks.
