Yunus Musah is relishing his new role for Milan after the change of tactics to 3-4-3 against Verona. ‘I have the characteristics to play on the wing.’

The midfielder was originally brought in to play in the 4-3-3 formation, but today was used on the right as a wing-back in the absence of Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu.

It was also his first start and achieved it at San Siro.

“I can hear the fans from the bench too, so the help they give us here is invaluable, they are fantastic,” Musah told DAZN.

“I felt really good in this position, I do have the characteristics to play on the wing. I like to play more or less anywhere, as sometimes when I am a midfielder, I tend to drift wide anyway.”

Milan needed the boost of today’s 1-0 victory after losing the derby 5-1 to Inter and drawing 0-0 with Newcastle United in the Champions League.

“It is important that a team knows how to suffer under pressure. It was a tough game for 90 minutes, so when the opponent has the ball, you must know how to hold on tight and defend as a unit.

“I like the way the team reacted today.”
