Jose Mourinho’s Roma was ‘slow and predictable’ and Tammy Abraham ‘should have done much better’ in the 0-0 draw with Genoa yesterday, the Italian press highlighted.

The Giallorossi were in control throughout the match, having 23 shots to the Rossoblu’s 10, as well as 63% possession, but they failed to break the deadlock, leaving them frustrated in the Stadio Olimpico as they dropped ground in the race for European qualification this season.

The Italian press were not happy with Mourinho’s work in the goalless draw, criticising his lack of ideas up front and calling the performance “slow and predictable”.

Tammy Abraham fared little better; he’d scored six in his last six coming into the match, but he failed to make a difference against Genoa yesterday. Corriere dello Sport noted that “the pincers of Blessin crushed him”, highlighting his anonymity in the match, and Corriere della Sera felt that “he could and should have done much better”.
