According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tammy Abraham is expected to start on the bench for Roma against Bologna, with Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Nicolò Zaniolo in attack.

The English striker was supposed to start against the Rossoblu in the first game of the year, but the pink paper claims he won’t get a starting spot at the Stadio Olimpico today.

Therefore, Dybala and Pellegrini should start behind Zaniolo who is expected to play as a false 9 against Thiago Motta’s side.

Both Abraham and Zaniolo haven’t exactly been prolific this season having scored four and two goals respectively.

With Pellegrini moving forward, Mourinho will need a new central midfielder to play close to Bryan Cristante. Although Nemanja Matic and Mady Camara have a chance to start, 19-year-old Benjamin Tahirovic is also an option in the middle of the park, according to the report.

Mourinho is suspended for the next two games, so he will watch today’s match from the stands.
