Former Inter owner Massimo Moratti claims Borja Valero is the player the Nerazzurri “need” and that Suning Group “can afford someone like Ronaldo.”

Moratti is the second Inter stalwart to approve of Valero’s arrival after Beppe Bergomi, while the club’s ex-patron also discussed Federico Bernardeschi and Suning’s financial muscle.

“Is Valero the right playmaker for Inter? Who knows, we hope so,” he told Premium Sport.

“Can Suning afford to go for someone like [Brazilian] Ronaldo? Yes, they have the freedom to do so…”
