“We are in good hands, the current owner has the availability and a certain sensitivity,” Moratti told Che Tempo Che Fa. “I never thought about taking charge of Inter again, it’s a very nice chapter, but now there are people who will look to the future in the right way.”

He has revealed that some of the people closest to him have told him to make an effort to buy back the Nerazzurri, but the former chief has claimed it never crossed his mind.

“No, never,” he added. “I have people near me who tell me that I have to buy back Inter, because they think I’d like it. I would certainly like to be the same age as then, but now Inter have passed into the hands of people who know how to look to the future in the right way.”
