The youth team boss replaced Claudio Ranieri on the bench last week and managed to win his first game in charge thanks to a 5-4 over Genoa.
“You can see his influence in a part,” the oil baron noted on Monday morning outside of his offices in Milan.
“First of all you can see the enthusiasm that he's brought to the team, and you can tell from listening to the players. We're starting to see his football too.
“It certainly wasn't a dull debut, not in the slightest. But then he isn't a dull person, so he got what we saw yesterday.”
Inter have had a season to forget and Moratti last week intimated that he held Gian Piero Gasperini, the club’s first Coach of the campaign, responsible.
“No one has said he was the main culprit,” Moratti argued. “Absolutely not. It was a negative spell with three months of preparation that went badly so everything started off badly.
“It might have worked but instead it went badly. It’s not a fault – but in football there is blame and there is merit. It was an unfortunate situation.”
Gasperini defended himself from criticism on Italian TV last night.
