Inter President Massimo Moratti held talks with Genoa today over Mattia Destro and confirmed negotiations for Matias Silvestre.

The oil baron was in a transfer summit with Genoa President Enrico Preziosi in order to discuss the players on co-ownership deals, although they also talked over other issues.

“Preziosi says we are not interested in Destro? If he says so…” smiled Moratti.

“Destro is strong and we like him, just as we like other players.”

It was noted that Juraj Kucka will be fully owned by Genoa, while youth team striker Samuele Longo becomes an Inter player in an exchange of co-ownership deals.

The Inter President also admitted there will be further negotiations with Palermo for Argentine defender Silvestre, who had been linked with Milan.

“I can confirm there will be another meeting to understand the Silvestre situation better.”

However, with Juventus agreeing to buy the remaining 50 per cent of Sebastian Giovinco’s contract from Parma, the Nerazzurri must give up on this move.

“It went the way it had to go,” shrugged Moratti.
