The former patron confirmed over the weekend that the Suning Group had asked him to return as the Nerazzurri’s figurehead, replacing Erick Thohir.

However, the ex-President has announced today that he will not be returning to work with the Chinese owners.

However, the ex-President has announced today that he will not be returning to work with the Chinese owners.

“I read this news too, but I don’t understand why it’s being talked about as a possible scenario,” Moratti told Tuttomercatoweb.

“So I can rule out an imminent return? Yes, absolutely. In the future? We’ll see, you never know.

“I’m sorry to disappoint, but I want to refute what has been said. An imminent return to the club is not in my plans.”
