Massimo Moratti was happy with what he saw in the Milan derby from Inter, and he already says Roberto Mancini is doing ‘a good job’.

The Nerazzurri began their second stint under the 49-year-old with a 1-1 draw in the Derby della Madonnina, much to their former President’s satisfaction.

“I liked the derby, and Inter did not play badly,” Moratti has told journalists today.

“Although he has just arrived, Mancini is doing a good job. It was a game that emotionally difficult and he had only had the team for a week.

“I do not know if he will succeed in reaching third place – it depends on how the players will adapt to Mancini and him to the players he has available.

“The support for the new Coach? I think it was to be expected, because he previously brought so many victories and then because a change always brings with it new enthusiasm.”
