Massimo Moratti believes Inter are in a 'difficult situation' because of the injury crisis afflicting his side.

Inter could only draw at home to Brescia on Saturday and have won just two of their last five games in Serie A.

Rafa Benitez already had to cope with a depleted squad, but news that Walter Samuel is likely to be out until the end of the season with cruciate ligament damage only compounds Inter's problems.

"We are having a more than dignified season," Moratti said. "The situation is difficult.

"We are having a more than dignified season," Moratti said. "The situation is difficult.

"The important thing is to get back to playing with all our players so as to get back to the levels of recent years."

When asked if Benitez's training methods are to blame, Moratti said: "No one is to blame. It's a statistic that when there is a change of Coaches things of this nature happen.

"Anyway, the methods haven't changed a lot because Inter use the ball a lot in training and do little athletic exercise."
