Former President Massimo Moratti says “there may be some news soon” about Chinese investment in Inter.

The Suning Group are on the verge of taking over 20 per cent of the club, and Moratti, who retains a 30 per cent stake after selling to Erick Thohir, gave an update on the situation.

“There may be some news soon,” the former Nerazzurri patron told reporters in Rome.

“There may be some news soon,” the former Nerazzurri patron told reporters in Rome.

“At the moment I’ll still be inside. A return as President? I can rule that out.

“Have I been disappointed with Thohir? No, far from it. On a human level, Thohir has been very kind to me and there is a good relationship between us.

“In football though it’s hard, and in Italy it’s a struggle to grow. I think it’s the same for all the big teams, we need to give him time.”
