Inter President Massimo Moratti sent a message to his squad and Rafa Benitez during their injury crisis.

“With the willingness to work hard and the spirit of sacrifice, one can emerge from any difficult situation,” he told RAI.

It was a clear response to Coach Benitez, who had said in Saturday's Press conference that the patron “knows it is a difficult situation because of the injuries.”

"Even if we were to lose against Chievo, we would stick with the current management staff. There would be time to get back on track.

"I have faith in Benitez and I told him what I told the media: it is normal to have some ups and downs when a new Coach comes in, but with the hard work of all the elements I am sure we'll return to being what we once were.

"It takes time to understand and absorb the teachings of a new tactician."

Moratti was furious after the derby defeat last weekend and publicly blasted his tactician.

Although he ruled out reports of an imminent dismissal if Inter do not beat Chievo this afternoon, the President was still very firm in his message.

Even with numerous injuries, the team must still work together and can find success.
