Inter President Massimo Moratti believes Wesley Sneijder's absence from the three-man shortlist for the Ballon d'Or is unjust.
Sneijder was initially among the favourites for the prestigious individual award, but missed out on the final cut at the expense of Barcelona trio Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
Asked for his reaction to the news, Moratti said: "It's a profoundly unjust decision. Sneijder did a lot more than Messi last season.
"He was a protagonist in a phenomenal year. He won everything that he could have won.

Meanwhile, Moratti insists that Inter can't afford to make a bad impression on Tuesday night when they face Werder Bremen in the Champions League, even though Rafa Benitez's side have already qualified for the next round.
Moratti is keen to keep the pressure on his players after Friday's disastrous 3-1 defeat to Lazio in Serie A.
"It's obligatory to do well because you just can't make bad impressions in the Champions League. Then we'll see what has significance after the Club World Cup.
"The feeling is that we need to do well. Psychologically we hope to do well against Bremen in the last game remaining before the Club World Cup."
