Adriano Galliani has admitted that Milan will have to wait for a few years before having any hope of signing Mario Balotelli.

The Manchester City player is admired by the Rossoneri which has fuelled regular transfer speculation – even before he left Inter for the Premiership in the summer.

But Galliani, speaking ahead of the Champions League game against Ajax, has again cooled expectations of a Balotelli capture.

"Balotelli has just been signed by City," he said. "Therefore it is unthinkable that they would sell him.

"Mario is just 20 though, so it would be fine if he came aged 22 or 23, but for now it is important that we don't trick the fans into thinking he will arrive sooner."

After dismissing an imminent move for Balotelli, Galliani then excluded the January capture of Alessandro Matri.

"Matri is liked by Massimiliano Allegri who bossed him at Cagliari," the Vice-President added.

"However, I know that Cagliari won't sell any players in January as they are battling to avoid relegation."

The official was also questioned about Ronaldinho who has had to get used to life on the bench recently.

"There is no problem with Ronaldinho," he added. "The Brazilian is not under discussion.

"The Coach is free to make his decisions, but I do think that he will play against Ajax on Wednesday."
