Morata would likely be replaced in the starting line-up by new signing Paulo Dybala, who is set to partner fellow new arrival Mario Mandzukic in attack.

The Bianconeri have been the victim of a series of injury setbacks this pre-season, with Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Sami Khedira also sidelined.

The former is on the recovery path, and is with his teammates in China, but will not be risked against Lazio if not fully fit.
