“Playing a top level friendly like this before the Euros is a good thing, also to understand the current status of these national teams,” said the Spain Coach in a Press conference.

“Italy have some very good players in the squad, even with their current injuries, so I doubt Marco Verratti and Claudio Marchisio will be badly missed.

“As for Andrea Pirlo, I think he has been a key figure both for Italy and his clubs.”

Sergio Busquets will “not be risked” for tomorrow’s game as he is carrying an injury.

“We have various options for our midfield. My intention is to let all the players I’ve called up play in these two friendlies against Italy and Romania.

“We have two months to go before we can decide who to call up in attack, so we will do what is best for Spain. I won’t let anyone play 180 minutes.”

Del Bosque tested out a line-up in training with Juventus striker Morata supporting Aduriz.

The 35-year-old Atletico Madrid forward has scored a remarkable 31 goals in 48 competitive games this season.

Jordi Alba is challenging Cesar Azpilicueta for the left-back role, while David Silva could replace either Morata or Aduriz.

Spain (probable): Casillas; Juanfran, Sergio Ramos, Piqué, Azpilicueta; San José, Thiago Alcántara; Mata, Fabregas, Morata; Aduriz
