“Other national teams wanted him, but in the end we got him. I quickly brought him to the Euros because he’s a very talented lad.
“He’s a player different to the others, one who can make a difference. He knows both the Italian League and a difficult place like the Viola.
“He’ll do good things thanks to the affection of the city, he only needs confidence.
“He speaks English, but with the help of the club and his teammates, he’ll learn Italian quickly.
“He has to feel affection around himself. If he does, he’ll do great things.
“I don’t think he’ll have any trouble in Serie A, like he would’ve in La Liga, the Premier League or other major divisions. He’s young and he only needs a bit of time.
“He’s a project to be worked on. He’s the real deal, he’s young, very quick, skilful, and he has an extraordinary left foot.
“The idea that he can only improve is exciting! He can become an idol for the Fiorentina fans.”
