Martin Montoya admits he had no choice but to leave Barcelona for Inter, but hopes he can return.

The full-back is set to join the Nerazzurri on a two-year loan deal with option to buy, with the Spaniard expected to complete his medical tomorrow.

“I’m sad to be leaving, but [Coach] Luis Enrique told me he wouldn’t be relying on me,” Montoya explained to Mundo Deportivo.

“I wanted to leave in January, but I didn’t have permission because of the transfer ban. I’m on loan for two years, I hope I can go back.
