“The team was good and I don’t think we deserved to lose,” Montella insisted in an interview with Sky after the match.
“We didn’t allow them anything in the first half. We had a lot of shots from the edge of the box, but we weren’t accurate enough.
“There was too much desire to win, that’s what I think. The team subconsciously thought that a draw would be useless and tried to go for broke, but we could have moved up the table.
“It’s disappointing, because the team didn’t deserve to lose.”
